India’s unrestricted futures contract:

  • India’s Free Trade Agreements (FTA) negotiations with countries including the European Union and Britain are progressing as planned.
  • India has already entered into free trade agreement with Japan, South Korea, Singapore and United Arab Emirates.
  • India is engaged in free trade agreement negotiations not only with the European Union and Britain but also with Australia, Peru, Sri Lanka and Oman.
  • Both countries entering into a free trade agreement will reduce import-export duties and take steps to increase trade volumes.
  • That is, regulations will be eased to encourage trade and attract investment.

Nepal-India Border Security Coordination Meeting:

  • The 8th Coordination Meeting on Border Security Operations between Nepal and India was held between Nepal Armed Forces Police and India’s Sashastra Seema Bal Force.
  • Discussions were held on border surveillance between the two countries, human trafficking, prevention of cross-border crime and cooperation between the border forces of the two countries in security work.
  • The two countries agreed to cooperate in border security operations between Nepal and India at the annual meeting held in Kathmandu.
  • The India-Nepal border is an open international border running between the Republics of India and Nepal.
  • Nepal shares border with 5 Indian states – Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar.

  • World Toilet Day is observed on November 19 every year.
  • The day is observed to encourage people to face the global health crisis to achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6, which aims to ensure health for all by 2030.
